All that jazz... from a smokey pub in New Orleans to Törley Pezsgőpincészet Hungary - music connects us. “When classical music and jazz meet “ The programme offers an insight into the respective repertoires of the Szakcsi Jr., pianist Laura Csík and vocalist Klára Csordás.Various pieces of classical music (piano music, arias and songs) serve as sources of inspiration for the improvisationns and cover versions by the Trió, and the vocalist also contributes to turning classical material into jazz. Some fine chansons and jazz standards are included in the vocal section as well.The artists perform masterpieces by Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Bizet, Granados, Strauss, Fauré, Bill Evans, Richard Rodgers, Joseph Kosma, Szakcsi Jr., Kurt Weill and Georges Gershwin.The concert programme is appealing to lovers of both classical music and jazz, while shedding light on how unnecessary it is to artificially draw a sharp line between the two genres.
